Opportunity for an experienced HR Generalist with strong employee relations and project management skills to join a collegial, HR team in Midtown.  We are looking for a true HR Generalist who has experience handling performance management, employee relations, project management,  recruiting, training and compensation analysis.

Specific Responsibilities of this role include:

  • As part of the HR team, participate in the firm's annual employee performance evaluation process

  • Work with managers to identify employee performance issues and work with employees on their performance improvement programs

  • Coach and counsel employees in addition get involved in disciplinary actions and terminations

  • Project Manage special projects working with firm leadership

  • Identify training needs and create and deliver training and development programs

  • Work with employees on work/life initiatives such as employee assistance programs and promotions

  • Participate in annual audits of job descriptions, internal processes and documentation

  • Conduct market research and internal and external pay analysis

  • Recruit for positions and participate in the on-boarding process

  • Administer FMLA, including meeting with employees, tracking leave and coordinating FMLA 


Qualifications and Experience:

  • BS/BA and 5 plus years as a Generalist in a Corporate setting; professional services experience preferred

  • Knowledge of Federal, state and local labor laws

  • Knowledge of HR practices, techniques and business trends

  • Strong attention to detail

  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team

  • Flexibility to travel on an as-needed basis

  • Facilitate the accommodation process related to ADA
